Window hardware

Window hardware, including window stays, window fasteners, and tilt-turn handles.

Retro-door-hardware has the largest range of replica window hardware from the period 1890 to 1940. Window stays, window fasteners, fanlight stays, friction window stays, window cremone bolts (which can be found in  the cremone bolts group), transom window latches, tilt-turn handles, window handles, and pin lock sets can all be ordered in the matching style of your choice. The ends and the shape of the wood of the door handles correspond with the window hardware.

Our range of window hardware

Our window stays are suitable for left-hinged or right-hinged windows, and are provided with two pins, one to secure the open window, and one to further secure it in a closed position.

We also sell telescopic window stays, and these are available in four variants: nickel (shiny, as originally applied), antique brass (antique bronze patina), polished brass and satin nickel (brushed nickel). The advantage of the telescopic window stay is that this stay does not come inwards, so is ideal if you want to mount an insect screen or roller blinds.

The window hardware is available in the following variants: cast iron, nickel (shiny, as originally applied), antique brass (antique bronze patina), polished brass and satin nickel (brushed nickel). These are often combined with ebony or bakelite.

When ordering a window fastener, please pay attention to whether the window is inward or outward opening and left turning or right turning. For each type you need different products. Please check with the pictures and text.

All our products come with matching screws.
